A margin is the space between a documents content and the pages edges. In Google Docs, default margins are one inch, but you can adjust the formatting as needed.
One way to change the margins is to go to the Page Setup dialog box. Click File and select Page Setup. Now you can change each margin by clicking a box and typing a new measurement. Click OK when youre done. The default margins are set to one inch on each side.
Margins. As you change the page size and orientation in Word, you may also want to adjust the margins. This is the space just before the text and after the edge of your page. The normal setting for a margin is a 1inch space between the text and the edge of the document.
