The standard industry-standard screenplay format includes the following : Courier typeface in font size 12, double-spaced lines. 1.5-inch margin on the left side of the page. 1-inch margin on the right side of the page. 1-inch margins on the of the top and bottom of the page. The margin in Flutter is the space added outside a widgets boundary, creating space around it. This property is crucial when separating a widget from its neighboring elements without altering its internal dimensions. The margin property is often set on Container widgets or any other layout widgets that support it.
Bleeds and margins are the extra space around the edges of your design that allow for variations in the printing and trimming process. Bleeds extend beyond the final size of your document, while margins are the inner space between the edge of your document and the content.
Although the default settings should work for the vast majority of scripts, there may be situations in which you need to change the top and bottom margins. To do this, go to Document Page Layout. Here you can increase or decrease the text margins.
Final Draft has two paper sizes, US Letter and A4.
Final Draft Documents include scripts and text documents (. fdx extension), as well as templates (. fdxt extension). Although a Final Draft template can be opened using the File Open command, a new document will be created as though a template has been selected using the File New from Template command.
To do this, go to Document Page Layout. Here you can increase or decrease the text margins. We recommend that before you begin tweaking you note the initial settings in case you need them again.
