The first thing we do is, after we discuss with the patient exactly what the target is, and which side needs a bit more, which site needs a bit less, the first thing we do is we put some little droplets of local anesthetic which allows you to use the cannula in a very pain-free way. nroff (short for new roff) is a text-formatting program on Unix and Unix-like operating systems. It produces output suitable for simple fixed-width printers and terminal windows. It is an integral part of the Unix help system, being used to format man pages for display.
The primary function of GNU troff is to collect words from input lines, fill output lines with those words, adjust the line to the right-hand margin by widening spaces, and output the result. For example, the input: Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party. Four score and seven years ago, etc.
troff (/ˈtiːrɒf/), short for typesetter roff, is the major component of a document processing system developed by Bell Labs for the Unix operating system. troff and the related nroff were both developed from the original roff.

Description. The device-independent troff file format outputs a pure ASCII description of a typeset document. The description specifies the typesetting device, the fonts, and the point sizes of characters to be used, as well as the position of each character on the page.
Groff (GNU troff) is a typesetting system that reads plain text mixed with formatting commands and produces formatted output. Output may be PostScript or PDF, html, or ASCII/UTF8 for display at the terminal. Formatting commands may be either low-level typesetting requests (primitives) or macros from a supplied set.
troff features commands to designate fonts, spacing, paragraphs, margins, footnotes and more. Unlike many other text formatters, troff can position characters arbitrarily on a page, even overlapping them, and has a fully programmable input language.
