hey everybody welcome back to the blood bank guy podcast this is Joe Chaffin it is March 2012 and I am really excited about the podcast weamp;#39;re going to do today basically ever since I started the bloodbank guy website way back in 1998 people have asked me off and on if I would do something about antibody identification the uh the process of antibody identification can be intimidating for people that are just learning how to do it and I think just about every pathology resident who hasnamp;#39;t done a bunch of them goes into the pathology board examination really concerned about I hope there arenamp;#39;t too many panels um and thatamp;#39;s true for for students of other uh bloodbank Specialties as well so what I want to do today is just take you through the basics just nuts and bolts of this is how you look at a panel this is how you approach a panel and this is in general uh the basic way that we that we attack one of these things try and take some of the mystery out of it
