To insert slide headers, footers, and page numbers on the insert tab, select header and footer. Toggle on or off the options such as date and time and footer. For footer, enter text for example hello. We can apply it to the single slide or to all slides. Notice the footer and date appear on each slide depending on the layout configuration of each slide.

To create a header or footer: Click the header or footer region. Type your text. You can format and align the text using the options in the Edit toolbar.
A header is text that is placed at the top of a page, while a footer is placed at the bottom, or foot, of a page. Typically these areas are used for inserting document information, such as the name of the document, the chapter heading, page numbers, creation date and the like.
In Microsoft Word, Headers and Footers are used to insert additional information such as title, file name, date, page numbers, etc. The presence of both header and footer in the Word document makes your document more professional and easier to read as well as understand.
Go to Insert Header or Footer. Choose from a list of standard headers or footers, go to the list of Header or Footer options, and select the header or footer that you want.
Headers and footers generally contain additional information such as page numbers, dates, an authors name, and footnotes, which can help keep longer documents organized and make them easier to read. Text entered in the header or footer will appear on each page of the document.
Double-click the header or footer you want to edit, or select Header or Footer, and then select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Add or change text for the header or footer or do any of the following: To remove the first page header or footer Select Different First Page.
Headers and footers appear only in the print layout view, print preview, and read mode view in printed documents. The print layout setting (under the View menu) is stored in each individual document. The draft view can be considered a pared down version of the Print Layout view.
