Once the object or area is selected, click on generative fill on the floating toolbar below your selection. If you do not see this floating toolbar, go to the Window menu and make sure that the contextual task bar is check-marked. Use the prompt field to type out a description of what you want to see in that space.
It is not yet available for commercial use, not accessible to individuals under 18, not available in China, and currently supports English-only text prompts. docHub plans to make Generative Fill available to all Photoshop customers in the second half of the 2023.
Which Photoshop version has Generative Fill? You must have Photoshop version 25.0 installed to access Generative Fill.
To make a selection in your image, you can use the select subject tool (1), any of the marquee or lasso tools (2), and the object selection, quick selection, or the magic wand tool (3). The selection appears with the marching ants (4) around it, then reveals the generative fill tools in the taskbar (5).
