What are the two types of intaglio?

There are five traditional intaglio processes: engraving, etching, drypoint, aquatint and mezzotint.

What is the difference between fill engraving and vector engraving?

Raster engraving is created by the laser scanning the engraved areas very much as a printer does, filling the area to be engraved line by line. Vector engraving, on the other hand, is created more like a line drawing. The laser follows the vector lines and draws them as a single line.

What can I use to blacken engraving?

My paint of choice is Rust-Oleum flat black (non-aerosol). This is available at hardware stores everywhere. There are other flat black paints available, and they probably work just as well. Be sure to use flat black and not satin black, as satin black produces small amount of shine which is undesirable.

What are the different types of engravers?

Using a quick dry enamel, cover the entire area of engraving with paint. No need to use a brush; youre just flooding the area with paint.
