Right-click, and then click Adjust List Indents. Change the distance of the bullet indent from the margin by clicking the arrows in the Bullet position box, or change the distance between the bullet and the text by clicking the arrows in the Text indent box.
Shortcuts and How to Type Bullet Points In Word, this symbol is in the Paragraph section under the Home tab. Theres a Word shortcut too: Ctrl + Shift + L. In Google docs the symbol is on the main navigation page. The Google/Gmail shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + 8.
Google Slides On your computer, open a presentation in Google Slides. Highlight the text you want to indent. In the menu at the top, click Format. Format options. At the right, click Text fitting. Under Special indent, choose Hanging. Optional: Under By, change the size of the indent.
Select the text you want to bullet, then go to Home Bullet. If youre trying to make a bullet list from scratch, and youre in a Title box, only the first line will be bulleted. Pressing Enter will create a new unbulleted line. Use the Text box to create multiple bulleted lines.
Once the ruler is turned on, you will see the ruler at the top of the slide when you are editing a text box, table cell or the text in a shape. To format bullet point indents using the ruler, drag the three indent setting shapes to format the bullets the way you want.
Tip: To quickly change the style of a bulleted or numbered list, just click the style you want in the list that appears when you click the arrow next to Bullets or Numbering.
Add a sub-bullet Put your cursor on the line of text you want to indent. On the Home tab, select the ellipsis () next to the list buttons (as illustrated below), and then select Increase List Level. Keyboard shortcut for Increase List Level: Tab. Keyboard shortcut for Decrease List Level: Shift+Tab.
Indent using Keyboard Shortcut: To indent the selected bullet point, press the Tab key on your keyboard. Each press of the Tab key will indent the bullet point further.
