In the Master Layout group, click the arrow next to Insert Placeholder, and then click the type of placeholder you want to insert. Options are for Content, Content (Vertical), Text, Text (Vertical), Picture, Chart, Table, SmartArt, Media, and Online Image.
Click the File tab. Click Info to view the document properties. To add or change properties, hover your pointer over the property you want to update and enter the information. Note that for some metadata, such as Author, youll have to right-click on the property and choose Remove or Edit.

The following steps describe how to add a reference list in PowerPoint: Navigate to Insert Tab and select the New Slide dropdown. Select the Title and Content type of slide. Use the newly created slide to create a reference list by typing or copying/pasting references in the Content section.

Select the paragraph or paragraphs you want to edit. (Each text object has its own set of tabs and indents settings that you control individually.) On the Format menu, select Paragraph. In the dialog box, select Tabs. Set the tab stop position (measured in inches). Repeat step 4 as needed for additional tab stops.
