In this video, well demonstrate how a supplier of computer accessories receives orders from its website and puts order items into an IBM MQ queue for processing. These items will be read from queues, processed and then inserted as records into a DB2 ITEMS table. To achieve this we can use the IBM MQ connector in IBM App Connect in a container environment to build an API to interact with an IBM MQ instance. We will create two flows. The first one is a flow for an API which accepts the purchase order XML and puts the order items into a queue. The other is an event driven flow which triggers whenever a new message is received on the IBM MQ configured queue and performs an insert operation in the database. The first flow can be exposed as an API that can be invoked by other applications, whether its their e-commerce website or mobile application. First well create an action flow in the IBM App Connect Designer using the XML parser and IBM MQ put message on a qu

Custom tags use XML syntax and are what page authors use. This is an umbrella term that describes the set of classes and conventions that allow programmers to create custom actions and tags within JSP. The tag extension mechanism was added to JSP in version 1.1.
To insert data into an XML column, use the SQL INSERT statement. The input to the XML column must be a well-formed XML document, as defined in the XML 1.0 specification. The application data type can be an XML, character, or binary type.

Create an XML tag Choose New Tag from the Tags panel menu. Click the New Tag button on the Tags panel.
XML elements must follow these naming rules: Element names are case-sensitive. Element names must start with a letter or underscore. Element names cannot start with the letters xml (or XML, or Xml, etc) Element names can contain letters, digits, hyphens, underscores, and periods. Element names cannot contain spaces.
Syntax Use the declare function keyword. The name of the function must be prefixed. The data type of the parameters are mostly the same as the data types defined in XML Schema. The body of the function must be surrounded by curly braces.
So now in order to invoke this created function, we use the tag in the data file. Now for calling these functions you can use the tag in the XML files as given below and can pass the parameters using tag. Once you have installed this module these functions will be called.

To bind an XML data to an HTML table, add the datasrc (data source) attribute to the table element, then add the datafld (data field) attributes to any other inline eg. , or tags between the elements.
You can include HTML content. One possibility is encoding it in BASE64 as you have mentioned. Another might be using CDATA tags. just remember that XML and CDATA preserve white-space.
