How to use the @Inject attribute The first step is to add the dependency injection framework to our Java project. Once we have a DI framework, we can use the @Inject annotation to mark fields or constructors for dependency injection. Finally, we need to configure dependencies in the DI framework.
It can be used during: Construction (via the constructor ) of a class being instantiated by the DI system, such as an @Injectable or @Component . In the initializer for fields of such classes. In the factory function specified for useFactory of a Provider or an @Injectable .
To use it, annotate the constructor with the @Inject annotation. This constructor should accept class dependencies as parameters. Most constructors will then assign the parameters to final fields. If your class has no @Inject -annotated constructor, Guice will use a public, no-arguments constructor if it exists.
4.1. The @Inject annotation lets us define an injection point that is injected during bean instantiation. Injection can occur via three different mechanisms. Bean constructor parameter injection: public class Checkout { private final ShoppingCart cart; @Inject.
Constructor Injections They are most useful when we need an object along with all its dependencies. For example, a CAR can have various dependencies like engine, gear, steering, and other relevant components without which a CAR is useless. So, we need all those components wired together in the object of a car.
Identifies injectable constructors, methods, and fields. May apply to static as well as instance members. An injectable member may have any access modifier (private, package-private, protected, public).
In a class, the variables are private and we need methods to set or get them. The process where these variables are set using a constructor is called constructor injection. As an example, lets create the class Shape . This class can have polygons, triangles, squares, circles, etc.
