Single-line comments start with two forward slashes ( // ). Any text between // and the end of the line is ignored by C# (will not be executed).
ASP Comment Syntax: Single Line Comment To create a comment in ASP you simply place an apostrophe in front of what you want commented out. The most common practice is to place the apostrophe at the beginning of the line of text like we have in the following example.
Ctrl - K and Ctrl - C will comment one or more selected lines. Ctrl - K and Ctrl - U will uncomment one or more selected lines.
Active Server Pages uses the quote character () to define comments. This comment is a line comment meaning that it will comment out everything following it up until the end of the line. There is no multi line comment in ASP. In order to comment multiple lines, each line must be preceded by a quote ().
If you want to quickly comment one or more lines of code, you can press Ctrl + K, C .
string ConnStr = DataSource=add your server name; Initial Catalog=demoSampleDB;User Id=;Password=;; SqlConnection con = newSqlConnection(ConnStr); SqlCommand cmd = newSqlCommand(insert into Comments(Name,Email,Comment) values(+name.Text+ , + email.Text + , +comment.InnerText.Trim() + ), con);
Comment-out a block of code, using the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + Shift + C).
Normally, we use // for short comments, and /* */ for longer.
