Open the Word document and go to the page where you want to insert the chart or graph. Click on the Insert tab. In the Charts group, click on the Chart icon. Select the chart or graph that best suits your data presentation needs; e.g. bar chart, line graph, pie chart, etc.
To create a simple chart from scratch in Word, click Insert Chart, and pick the chart you want. Click Insert Chart. Click the chart type and then double-click the chart you want. Tip: For help deciding which chart is best for your data, see Available chart types.
To change the format of chart text, select the text, and then choose an option on the mini toolbar that appears. Or, on the Home tab, in the Font group, select the formatting that you want to use.
Insert a text box on a chart In the chart, click where you want to start a corner of the text box, and then drag until the text box is the size that you want. In the text box, type the text that you want. The text will wrap in the text box. To start a new line in the text box, press Enter.
In your Word document, click Insert Chart. Select the type of chart you want, such as column or pie chart, and click OK. (If youre not sure which to choose, move down the All Charts list to preview each type.) Enter your data into the spreadsheet that automatically opens with the chart.
Creating the Graph of Concepts Extract concepts and entities from the body of work. These are the nodes. Extract relations between the concepts. These are the edges. Populate nodes (concepts) and edges (relations) in a graph data structure or a graph database. Visualise, for some artistic gratification if nothing else.
Add data labels to a chart Click the data series or chart. In the upper right corner, next to the chart, click Add Chart Element Data Labels. To change the location, click the arrow, and choose an option. If you want to show your data label inside a text bubble shape, click Data Callout.
One way to chart a text is to analyze the macro-structure (or larger structure) of the text. A reader might want to chart the macro-structure of a text, analyzing its organizational features, in order to evaluate how the structure of the text influences meaning.
