5 Steps to SSL Certificate on AWS EC2 Instance Open the AWS Management Console and log in. Click on Services Compute EC2 Load Balancers to select your load balancer from the navigation pane. On the Listeners tab, click on Edit and then select Add and for the protocol choose HTTPS.
Q: Can I use certificates on Amazon EC2 instances or on my own servers? You can use private certificates issued with Private CA with EC2 instances, containers, and on your own servers. At this time, public ACM certificates can be used only with specific AWS services, including AWS Nitro Enclaves.
To view certificate details in the console Open the ACM console at to display your certificates. You can navigate through multiple pages of certificates using the page numbers at upper-right. Type Identifies the management category of an ACM certificate.
Public ACM certificates can be installed on Amazon EC2 instances that are connected to a Nitro Enclave, but not to other Amazon EC2 instances.
AWS API Gateway Log in to the AWS Certificate Manager console. Choose the Import a certificate option. A similar form for the SSL upload will open. Paste the certificate file code as the Certificate body, CA-bundle code as the Certificate chain and Private key code as the Certificate private key and click Next.
The Cert Injection Webhook for Kubernetes extends kubernetes with a webhook that injects CA certificates and proxy environment variables into pods. The webhook uses certificates and environment variables defined in configmaps and injects them into pods with the desired labels or annotations.
There are several ways to upload your new certificate to your EC2 instance, but the most straightforward and informative way is to open a text editor (for example, vi, nano, or notepad) on both your local computer and your instance, and then copy and paste the file contents between them.
You cant export an ACM certificate from one AWS Region to another or from one AWS account to another. This is because the default AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS) key used to encrypt the private key of the certificate is unique for each AWS Region and AWS account.
