hereamp;#39;s why iMessage is sending from your email address instead of your phone number now if youamp;#39;re sending or receiving messages through your iMessage but itamp;#39;s using your email address Iamp;#39;m going to show you why that is and how to change it so letamp;#39;s hop into settings at the top left here and then weamp;#39;ll just scroll down until we find the messages icon so I can tap on messages here now you can see under iMessage is send and receive and it shows two addresses so I can tap on that and it says you can receive iMessage to a reply from and it has both my phone number and my email checked and then under there is start new conversations from and it has my email address checked so basically your iMessage allows you to send and receive messages just directly through your uh email instead of your phone number if you want to switch it to your phone number you can either hit the start new conversations to your phone number or if you wanted to completely
