How do I get a copy of my deed? You can request a copy of a recorded deed from the Recording Division by phone, in person or by mail. Please visit our Search Recorded Documents page for more information.
The deed must be recorded in the Office of the Judge of Probate in the county where the property is located (Alabama Code 35-4-50 and Alabama Code 35-4-62). Unless an exception applies, a deed transfer tax must be paid when the deed is recorded (Alabama Code 40-22-1).
Per the Pennsylvania Right To Know Law, anyone can request property records from the county recorder of deeds office. Then, parties can inspect their details.
Online: Certified copies of recorded documents may be requested online from Washington State Digital Archives or from Clark Countys Official Records Search page. Payment may be by debit or credit card and additional fees apply.
Deeds are usually recorded by the property owner, real estate agent, or closing attorney in the Mobile County Probate Court records department. If your deed was recorded, you may purchase a copy. For more information you can call the records department of the Mobile County Probate Court at 251-574-6000.
Once the documents are in the hands of the title company examiner, it could take a few hours or a few weeks to pore over the documents for any outstanding claims. 1-2 weeks is a common general time frame for most title searches.
Depending on the information you need, a title search in Pennsylvania can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours. It may take a bit longer if you need a title search from a rural county, or if your search goes back 50-60 or more years.
Check the County Assessors Office In fact, not only can you look up property owners, but you can also discover the history of a property, too. Depending on where you want to search, the specific office might have a different name than County Assessor, such as: Land registrar. Property records.
Searches can be performed through the probate courts (or land records offices) or the Office of the Secretary of State. The interested party can also hire an attorney or title company to conduct title searches to find liens recorded against real property.
Title search and recording fees A title search reveals whether or not there are any liens against your property or conflicting ownership claims that would prevent you from selling. Title searches typically cost around $75 to $100; sellers and buyers customarily split this fee in Alabama.
