Important: Changing your name or initials in one Office program will change your name and initials in all of the other Office programs installed on your computer. Click File Options. In the Options dialog box, change your user name and initials in the Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office section.
From the Word ribbon, select the Insert tab and then click Signature Line in the Text group. A Signature Setup pop-up box appears. Enter your information in the text fields and click OK. Double-click the signature line.
Inserting the Users Initials Position the insertion point where you want the initials inserted. Choose Field from the Insert menu. You will see the Field dialog box. In the Categories list, choose User Information. In the Field Names list choose UserInitials. Click on OK to close the dialog box and insert your field.
Use the Signature Line command to insert a signature line with an X by it to show where to sign a document. Click where you want the line. Select Insert Signature Line. Select Microsoft Office Signature Line. In the Signature Setup box, you can type a name in the Suggested signer box. Select OK.
Click the Review tab. Click the Track Changes button. Choose Change User Name. Click into the Initials text box under the Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office section. Type your initials.
Click File Options. In the Options dialog box, change your user name and initials in the Personalize your copy of Microsoft Office section.
Traditionally, a monogram reads First Name Initial, Last Name Initial, Middle Name or Maiden Name Initial. With the Last Name Initial being the larger Middle Initial.
