Choose PDF if you want to save your publication in a format that can be easily shared and is used by many commercial printers. Choose XPS if you want to save your publication with even greater compression than PDF format.
The XPS format is similar to PDF because both file types are designed to show the final appearance of a document and provide information for printing. However, XPS files are written in a different programming language.
An XPS file represents page layout files that are based on XML Paper Specifications created by Microsoft. It was developed as a replacement of EMF file format and is similar to PDF file format, but uses XML in layout, appearance, and printing information of a document.
Open your HTML file in your browser or any viewable tool. Take a snapshot of an area with your screen capture tool (Snipping tool on Windows, for example). Click File Save as. Select the location and select the Save as type as JPG.
Convert HTML file to a text file (preserving HTML code and text).Select the file and click the Open button. Click the File tab again, then click the Save as option. In the Save as type drop-down list, select the Plain Text (*. txt) option. Click the Save button to save as a text document.
Save your publication in PDF or XPS format Click File Export Create PDF/XPS Document Create PDF/XPS. For File name, type a name for the publication. For Save as type, select either PDF or XPS Document. Click Options and choose the publish option best for online or print viewing of your publication:
