Oh whats up this is Patrick from Guyana q and in this two minute Tuesday Im gonna show you how to create a custom URL on a column in a table of matrix in par bi alright since this is a two minute Tuesday you guys know I like to do instead of all this talking lets do what lets head over to my laptop all right before I jump into this new feature right I want to show you how you had to do this before lets say I wanted to have a hyperlink that when I click the hyperlink it would take me out to a page that showed me stats for each one of these NFL teams right so Im a big New Orleans Saints fan go Saints right and so how would you do this before well you create your measure and then you go to measure tools and you categorize your measure as a web URL right so Im gonna go ahead and categorize it and then you would add it to your table of matrix so that its my table of matrix and then you see this big URL when I click it its gonna open up a new window its gonna open up that web page

Add a link (URL) Navigate to the relevant Moodle space and enable Edit mode . Click Add an activity or resource. Choose URL (weblink) from the Resource list. Under General, give the URL a Name and enter the URL into the External URL box.
In a course, with the editing turned on, choose URL from the activity chooser and give it a helpful name. in External URL, type the web address of the site you want to link to, or click the Choose a link button to access other options.
To create an external link to a URL, select the icon in the browser address bar and drag it to the object where you want to create the link. Click Confirm.
Using permalinks to embed sections or items To find the permalink of a section or item, click the ellipsis and select Create a shareable link. Then click COPY TO CLIPBOARD. You can then hyperlink text in an email or Moodle Book so that it links directly to the section or item.
Quick summary: In the content editor, select the text or image which is going to carry the link and then open the Insert Link dialog. Create the Link either as Internal (use the Chooser to select the page or file you want to link to) or External (put a path in the Link source text field), then click OK.
In the left column, scroll down and select URL under Resources. Click on the Add button. In the Name field, type a name for the link to the shared folder. This is what the students will see on your Moodle page.
Create a hyperlink to a location on the web You can also right-click the text or picture and click Link on the shortcut menu. In the Insert Hyperlink box, type or paste your link in the Address box. Note: If you dont see the Address box, make sure Existing File or Web Page is selected under Link to.
