word allows you to maintain properties related to your document two of the properties you can use are the document title and subject in this quick tip i show you how to define these and then use them in your document [Music] [Applause] [Music] word keeps track of many pieces of information about your document you can see the information maintained by word by displaying the file tab of the ribbon and then clicking info at the left side of the screen you can see some of the properties at the right side of the screen two the most useful properties maintained by word are the document title and the document subject you can see the title is right here and if you wanted to you could click on this and type a title in but there is no field in here for subject if you would like to see that then what you need to do is you need to click on this properties title right up here and then choose advanced properties word then displays the properties dialog box for this particular document notice as well
