the spot-on dot it comes with two spot-on dots a large two inch and a small one inch and these are perfect for being able to see the lines on your rollers they have an adhesive ring that allows you to stick them onto your ruler so that they dont move if they start to lose their stick just wash them with a little mild soap and water let it dry and youll have your stick right back to be able to put your spot on dot where you need it the small dot increases quite a bit and the large dot increases a larger area so depending on what you want to be able to see you place your spot on dots so if i want to cut on the three inch line i can place my dot here and then another dot here so that i can see really well and then i can take my piece of fabric [Music] and i can really easily see in both points that im right on that three inch line and i can cut incredibly accurately its also incredible when you want a fussy cut i know i want to line up across this line and now i can see much more accu

Whenever you have two or more consonants stuck between two vowels you want to divide between the consonants so that each vowel has its own consonant. But remember that the r-controlled vowel makes a different sound or no sound at all. Examples: order, garlic, harvest.
The Spot and Dot Strategy is a scaffold that helps students discover where syllables begin and end and whether the syllable is open--ends with a vowel-- or closed-- ends with a consonant (Cheney Cohen, 1999). Students will use the spot and dot strategy to help them identify separate syllables.
As I mentioned above, teach them to clap or tap out the syllables first. Focus on each syllable separately. Say the word more than once! After writing the first syllable, train your students to say the whole word again, clap it out again, then say the 2nd syllable and stretch it out to hear all the individual phonemes.
Decoding Multisyllabic Words Strategy First, place a dot over each vowel sound and connect the first two dots. Then, look at the letters between the dots. If there is one consonant, draw a line after the first vowel sound. If there are two consonants, draw a line between the consonants.
Here is the most common definition of a dot: a small, perfectly round circle. A spot is small part of something that is different from the main part. Recently, we learned on this program the idiom a leopard never changes its spots. Now, spots on a leopard are not perfect circles.
A dot is a very small round mark, for example one that is used as the top part of the letter i, as a full stop, or as a decimal point. You can refer to something that you can see in the distance and that looks like a small round mark as a dot. Soon they were only dots above the hard line of the horizon.

While some students will successfully learn to decode multisyllabic words, many other kids will stumble over them for years.4 Engaging Activities for Teaching Multisyllabic Words Breaking Up Words. Color Coding Syllables or Rainbow Syllables. Sorting Words. Code, Roll, and Read.
Syllabication is a decoding strategy in which students take a multisyllabic word and divide it into its syllables.
