It may be that you have already added that payee in the past through an account which has since been amended or closed or if it was added through a business account which no longer exists.
A payee is the term used to describe the person or business that you are paying money to.
While adding a payee, the user is provided with the option to either assign an account number to the payee or to define a demand draft template to be used while issuing demand drafts towards the payee. This section documents the addition of a payee with transfer type as bank account.
Select Pay bills transfer at the bottom of the account dashboard then select Pay a bill. Select Add bill at the top of the screen, then choose Pay my bill or Find my bills. You can search for a biller by name or manually enter the biller details.
To pay another person who banks with first direct who you have never paid before you would choose the account you wish to send from then select Move Money from the options that appear and then select New person or small business to enter all the details required.
Bill pay: Add a payee Sign in to the Chase Mobile app and tap Pay and Transfer Tap Pay bills Tap Add a payee and begin to input the payee name. Choose a payee from potential matches or add manually. Enter your Account number and tap Next Enter the payee ZIP code. Confirm and choose the payee address.
The name of the payee is included in the bill of exchange and it usually refers to a natural person or an entity such as a business, trust, or custodian.
To add a bill payee: From the apps Home screen, tap Move money. Tap Pay bills. Tap Manage bills. Tap Manage payees. Tap Add new payee and enter the payee name and your account number. Tap Add payee.
A payee reference is a message you can include alongside a payment to help the payee identify it. The reference may include details to help the receiver recognise: You as the sender; and /or. The reason for the transfer.
