hello and welcome to the video by Trump Excel I am so mad Bunsen and in this video I will show you how to insert comments in your M code so here I have the sales data and let me open this in the query editor so I would click anywhere in this data go to the data tab and click on from table range this opens this data in the query editor and you can see there are two steps here source and changed type now if I go to the View tab and click on advanced editor it opens this dialog box that has the M code and this M code is for these two steps first one is for the source and the second one is for the changed type now power query often inserts this step by itself so it tries and identifies the data type and it inserts changed type by trying to convert these into lets say this is going to be a day to die this would be a text type if I dont want the change type step then I can comment it out and when I comment it out it remains here in the code editor but power query would not consider it as
