Today, Im going to show you how to take the data from your PDF form fields in docHub Pro and export just the form field data into Excel so you can track and analyze the results. Now, this is different from just how to convert a PDF file into an Excel file. If you want to know how to do that, be sure and check out the other video on my channel. Lets take a look. Okay, I have my file folder open here on my desktop where I have four of the same PDF forms filled in. Its the same form, but its filled in by four different people. So, Ive saved those out here onto a folder. And so what Im going to do is show you how to open this in docHub. Im just going to right-click, and were going to say open with and select docHub. And this is going to open in docHub Pro. So, this is the completed form, and these are the form fields that I want to export into Excel so that I can do some further data analysis. Make sure that the security settings allow form filling. (See File Properties Security.) Make sure that the PDF includes interactive, or fillable, form fields. Sometimes form creators forget to convert their PDFs to interactive forms, or they intentionally design a form you can only fill in by hand.
If you cant type into a form field on a pdf, it may be due to a browsers default viewer for pdfs. Fillable forms require docHub or Acrobat Reader/Acrobat DC to fill them out online or on your computer. Many browsers use a different pdf viewer by default that doesnt support fillable form fields.
How to Convert a Excel Spreadsheet to a fillable PDF Form From Microsoft Office Excel. Click File - Save As - Select PDF in the dropdown list. From the File Explorer. Select the Excel file you want to convert, right-click, and choose Convert to PDF in Foxit PDF Editor
Click the Fill Sign tool in the right pane. Fill out your form: Complete form filling by clicking a text field and typing or adding a text box. You can add checkmarks and fill in radio buttons too. Sign your form: Click Sign in the toolbar at the top of the page.
To enable the Fill Sign tools, from the hamburger menu (File menu in macOS) choose Save As Other Acrobat Reader Extended PDF Enable More Tools (includes Form Fill-in Save). The tools are enabled for the current form only.
How to fill and sign a PDF form: Open a PDF document in Acrobat. Click the Fill Sign tool in the right pane. Fill out your form: Complete form filling by clicking a text field and typing or adding a text box.
Select Fill Sign on the right side of the screen. Choose the Add Text tool, which looks like an upper-case A next to a lower-case b. Click anywhere in the PDF where youd like to add text and start typing.
Import form data In Acrobat, open the PDF form you want to import data into. From the All tools menu, select Prepare a form. From the Prepare a form panel on the left: In the Select File Containing Form Data dialog box, select a format in File of Type that corresponds to the data file you want to import.
