Lets talk about highlighting text on the web. Here is a demo page that I created with some content that I wrote. The content of the article here isnt interesting. Take a look at the box in the top right corner of the page which you can use to highlight text on the page. So you can scroll around, select the piece of text, click the highlight text button, and then it gets highlighted and you can scroll some more and highlight more pieces of text if you want. Theres also buttons to scroll back to some pieces of text youve highlighted before, or even delete them. And the question that were trying to solve here or answer is how to do this on the web. Today Ill go through a couple methods that you can try today and a lot of libraries that do highlighting of text on the web, like text editor, use and then well see a third method that is coming in browsers very soon and that will solve a lot of the problems that exist today with doing this particular task. So the way that my demo works
