This video tutorial covers the dos and don'ts of writing receipts for money collected from students. Receipt books will be provided by the bookkeeper, who should be notified of any money collected. Receipts must be written in the order they appear in the book, with only the white copy torn out and given to the student. There’s a separator at the back of the receipt book to prevent writing from bleeding through to other receipts. Each receipt has a receipt and a carbon copy. Start by writing the date, and then fill in the name of the student, not the parent, as the payer. The tutorial explains the process similarly to writing a check.
