To highlight text in a video, add a screenshot to the timeline, then use the pen tool and select the rectangle tool to drag a rectangle over the desired text. In effect controls, access the shape settings to change the fill color to your choice, commonly yellow for highlighting. Adjust the opacity under the video settings by changing the blend mode to multiply to achieve the highlight effect. For animation, go to effects, search for 'crop', and apply it to the graphic layer. Ensure the playhead is at the beginning of the graphic in effect controls, and modify the right value in the crop effect to animate the highlight.
