In Microsoft Word, you can now highlight text over images by inserting a picture and then adding a rectangular shape over the text you want to highlight. To do this, first insert the picture you need by clicking on the insert tab, then select rectangular shape from the shapes in the illustration group. Draw the shape over the text, right-click the shape, and choose format shape to change the fill color to yellow and adjust the transparency as desired. Finally, change the shape's border to no line to make the text over images visible.
