Heres how: Navigate to the Gear icon and select Payroll Settings. Then, click the pencil icon of the Accounting section. Select the pencil icon of the deduction item you created. Next, assign the liability account you created. Click Continue to save your changes.
You can refund your employees overwithheld deduction when you create and run their next paycheck. Select Open Paycheck Detail. In the Other Payroll Items section, use the same deduction payroll item. Enter the amount over-collected as a positive number.
You are able to void, edit or delete a paycheck based on how the employee was paid and if there arent any system blockers*.To access payroll corrections: Go to the Paycheck list page. Go to the paycheck you want to correct. Select the down arrow on the far right of that row.

A payroll deduction authorization form is a written agreement an employee must sign if they want certain voluntary deductions taken from their paycheck. These forms should be as clear and specific as possible so employees know how much money voluntary deductions will take out of their paycheck.
Follow the steps below to submit a request. Open the Direct Deposit Reversal form. Select Add Request. Complete the required information and transaction information. Select Save. Once the reversal is approved (see the next section for details), you can void the paycheck in your payroll records.
