Hello everyone, and welcome to The Teacher. When using Microsoft Word, sometimes you may be in a situation, when you dont need to print or view certain parts of your document, but you dont want to delete them either. This is the time, when you can use Show Hide Text feature of Microsoft Word. For instance, in this Standard Feed file, I need to print two versions of this document. The first copy of print out will be as it is, but for the second copy, I dont need these Terms and Conditions lines to be printed. But I dont want to delete them either. So what I will do is to hide those text lines, instead of deleting them. So, lets get started and learn, how to hide and unhide text, and how to print a document with and without the hidden text. First, select that particular text area that you wish to hide. Now, right-click on the selected text, and then click Font from the context menu. From the Font window, under Effects section, make a check mark on Hidden, and then press OK. Thats

Use the exact wording in your resume Making sure that you use the same wording from a job description in your resume is important, because an ATS will only scan for the exact word. Even if you use a similar word or a word that means the same thing, the applicant tracking software may not pick it up.
Words to avoid on your resume Bottom line. Buy-in. Core competency. Ecosystem. Move the needle. Synergy. Thought leadership. Value add.
Should You Copy-Paste a Job Description Into Your Resume? Short answer: No. There are a few reasons, Fife says. First, when recruiters use search tools to find keywords on resumes in ATSs, it is more likely that they are doing so with a pool of existing resumes the company already has from past applications.
The idea is that it will help them rank higher in an ATS. Understandably, recruiters resent the implication that theyre so easily tricked. Resume keyword stuffing with hidden text is easily spotted and one of the quickest ways to burn a bridge with a recruiter.
Be sure to include key words and skills from the job description. But do keep it concise. And you can provide any clarifications needed like explaining a job a gap in your resume.
It depends on the wording. If its wording that you might have conceivably used on your own even if it werent in the job ad, then sure. But if the language is reading as convoluted, or if youre doing it so much that its obvious that youre intentionally mirroring their language, then its bad.
White fonting is the practice of inserting hidden keywords into the body of an electronic document, in order to influence the actions of a search program reviewing that document.
Some ATS systems cant read white font. Others are so sophisticated that they pull resumes that have hidden text and eliminate those candidates. Whats more, hiring managers are well aware of this practice and often highlight resumes to reveal white fonts prior to calling candidates.
