hi and welcome students and this Microsoft Word 2016 tutorial Im gonna be going over how to display formatting marks lets get started so youll see that on my blank document here I currently do not have any formatting marks being shown and formatting marks are great because theyre a helpful way to view non-printing characters on your document so basically every time you press the Enter button spacebar or even other things like putting in section and page breaks its going to show you that those things are there but it wont actually print them out let me give you an example first off lets figure out how to turn them on if I go to the Home tab the paragraph group and I click this button right here formatting marks show / hide its going to show hidden formatting symbols this is especially useful for advanced layout tasks so if youre doing something like formatting a resume or doing some sort of APA or MLA format on your Word document youre definitely going to want to have these on

Marking a meeting or appointment private can hide some of the meeting details from others in your organization. Important: Even if you share and grant Read permissions to your calendar to another user, they will not be able to see the details of your private appointments.
The easiest way to print a blank calendar without any of your meetings or appointments is to create a blank calendar, then use the print options to customize the date range and print styles (daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly style).
The appointment will be displayed on your calendar as a blank box with a lock next to it indicating that you have an appointment but it is private.
Under the Permissions tab of Calendar Properties dialog box, please select the specified Exchange user whom you need to prevent from viewing appointments in your shared calendar, and then select Free/Busy time from the Permission Level drop down list. See screenshot: 3. Click the OK button to save the change.
Change the privacy settings for an event On your computer, open Google Calendar. Open the event you want to update. Click Default visibility and choose the privacy setting for the event. Click Save.
Select the calendar you want to hide. Click the three dots to the right of the calendar name. Click Sharing and Permissions. Next to People in my organization select Not Shared to not share any information, or click Can view when Im busy for others to see times you are available.
Show or hide categories in the navigation pane It just allows you to see a shorter category list. On the Outlook menu, click Preferences. Under Personal Settings, click Categories. Under Show in Navigation Pane, select or clear the check boxes that you want.
In the Print dialog box, please go to the Print range section, and then check the Hide details of private appointments box.
