[Music] hello this is greg from sharepoint maven and in todays video i would like to show you how you can hide fields in a sharepoint list or sharepoint document library based on conditional formula let me explain to you what im talking about so here i have a document library with a few documents and i have two metadata columns a status column and an expiration date the status column has active inactive and then expiration date thats just a date field now uh at the moment when users fill in the metadata uh when they uh choose the uh status for example right whether the effective or inactive uh expression date always appears as a piece of metadata what i would like to do is the following i do not want this expiration date column to appear unless the status is active so if i mark the document as active then expiration date column will uh pop up you know prompted me to fill out the date uh expiration date if i mark it inactive expiration date should disappear obviously it does appear a

Go to the Endnote toolbar and select Edit Output Styles Edit [name of your output style]. In the output styles dialogue box locate the Bibliography section and click on Templates. Then click on the bibliography template you wish to edit, then manually delete the DOI and URL fields.
Enter author information To enter multiple authors, place each authors name on a new line by pressing Enter after each addition. When a comma is used to separate names, EndNote will take everything prior to the comma to be a surname. In the following examples, the interpreted surname is italicised and bold.
In EndNote, click on EditOutput Styles, and then select Edit [name of the style]. This will open the style edit window. On the left-hand side, under Citations, select Ambiguous Citations. Uncheck the box that reads Include author initials or full name in citation.
Go to Solution. Go to UI actions and search for global table and comments is Normal list and add this condition in UI action. Tried using List control-omit new button but this omits the new button on the table also. Requirement is to only hide it on the list.
To change that profiles field visibility, simply click on their current status. Thatll land you on the page displays that profiles current field-level security (and below that page layout, but ignore the page layout section here). Uncheck Visible on the field youre trying to hide. And youre all set!
To display only author last names in the library reference window, change the Display all authors in the Author field setting. Go to the EndNote toolbar, select Edit Preferences Display Fields then uncheck Display all authors in the Author field (see attached image).
In word, highlight the citation you want to change. Click on Edit and Manage Citations in the EndNote tab. A box will appear like the one below. Beside format, click on the arrow next to default and from the drop down menu select how you want your citation to display e.g Exclude Author, Exclude Year etc.
Use either the Edit Manage Citation(s) function from the EndNote toolbar in Word, or right click, and select Edit Citation(s). Go to More to get the full options. Change the Format to Exclude Author.
