To access the Research.gov Proposal Submission System: Open the Research.gov homepage and select Sign In at the top of the page. After entering credentials, you will be navigated to the Research.gov My Desktop page. Click the Prepare and Submit Proposals link under Proposals.
Research.gov creates the new proposal and assigns a proposal Temporary ID Number. The proposal main page opens for the PI to upload proposal documents and to perform proposal actions such as adding co-PIs and OAUs and sharing access with SPOs and AORs.
Research. govs Proposal Status service offers a single location for Principal Investigators (PIs) and Sponsored Projects Office (SPO) staff to check up-to-date status information for proposals submitted to the National Science Foundation (NSF) via Grants.gov or Research.gov.
After signing in to Research.gov, navigate to My Profile at the top right of the page. From the left navigation menu, select My Roles Add a New Role Add Investigator or Authorized User Role No, prepare and manage proposals independently (third option). Proceed to complete the required information as appropriate.
On the Proposal Forms page, click on Proposal Access for SPO/AOR. NOTE: RSSP will never submit a proposal before you are ready. Allowing submission access at the beginning of the proposal process enables your Grant Specialist to submit when you are ready and alleviates the last-minute rush.
Research.gov provides recipients with greater access to federal research agencies grants management services and streamlined functionality. Grants.gov will continue to offer Find and Apply services.
