Closed issues can be edited if a JIRA administrator makes the following changes: Browse to the Workflow being used by the issue. Click Edit.
Open any impacted issue in the Jira issue view, and then transition them using the Fix Resolution transition. This will reset the field to the desired resolution for all these issues. Alternatively, you can use a Bulk Operation to edit all the impacted issues and transition them using the Fix Resolution transition.
Note : you can exclude multiple resolutions by separating the IDs with comma (for example : 5,1000,1002). Finally, when a user closes a ticket in the example project Team Space, Cannot Reproduce option cant be selected anymore.
Go to the Roadmap tab in your Jira project navigation menu. Click on View Settings Select Hide all completed Activity issues
Click Edit on your issue. Click Configure Fields on the top right of the resulting pop up screen. Click on Where is my field if you dont see Resolution in the field list. Type in Resolution Now scroll down to the Field Screen section. Add the Resolution to the Screen Configuration page.
1 answer Go to related Workflow - Edit. Add transition from Resolved to Resolved. Go to post-functions - Update Field Value - Resolution = Done. Publish workflow. Go to issue navigator - search JQL - Bulk Change - Transition all issues from Resolved to Resolved. After finishing, revert the workflow back.
If you want to resolve or close an issue in a Kanban board, then you should just drag and drop this issue to the required column. Each column in a Kanban board is linked to a status in the issue workflow. Just choose the right column with the Resolved or Closed status and drag and drop the required issue there.
Jira treats issues without resolution as open issues, regardless of any workflow state. If you want to hide the resolution field, dont forget to set a resolution in the workflow post function of the transition that closes the issue and set it to none if you reopen the issue.
