in todays video we are going to go over how to hide report types within salesforce so a report type as you can see in the new report so once we click the new report button youll see all of these different report types to choose from but lets say a lot of these dont apply my users will never see campaigns contracts and orders or maybe they dont even use price books products and assets so im going to show you how to hide these from your users so were going to x out of here youll click the new report salesforce classic button this will take you to this lovely view here which if youre familiar with salesforce classic uh this is what it used to look like for creating reports but what we want to do is select this button select report types to hide so from here were going to go through and were going to select which report types we dont want the users to see so lets say for accounts and contacts we dont care about dmb company with and without accounts we dont have accounts with

From the run reports page, click Hide Details to hide individual records. Click Show Details to show all records. From the report builder, click Show | Details. A check mark beside the Details menu item means that details are displayed. Click Details to toggle between showing or hiding records.
All you have to do now is find the field youd like to hide and click, hold, and drag it up to the box of fields at the top of the page (so that you see the green ✅ appear), then release. And youre all set, the field is now hidden from the page layout!

To remove the Record Count from reports in Salesforce Classic: Open and edit the report you would like to change. Above the reports Preview pane, click Show. Deselect Record Count. Click Run Report.
Go to Report Settings - Column Properties option. Column Properties tab displays a list of columns in a report along with a list of columns that are kept hidden by default. To hide a column, mouseover the column name and click on the Delete Icon.
