hi Im Peter combs John of Gaunt rom-com business solutions in this demonstration Ill talk to you about document properties a regular document library like this and documents in my demo intranet here has documents those documents you go into details of such a document or just click this button up here its easier and you see the properties of that document and youll notice that it has a name of course files have names thats fine theres also a title field here that is always a bit of a mystery why do we have a title field here its an old old old history its always been there word 2.0 had a title field on top of the name field of a document so its its ancient but if you want to get rid of it if you dont want it shown there okay you can do that and thats what Im gonna show in this demo however you might want to think again because that title field is very very important Ive shown in other demos how I create a workflow that sets this title field automatically that might be a be

1 Answer uncheck the Required checkbox on the field on the object level and then open the page layout where you want to make it required and then double click on the field and check the Required checkbox. and where you dont need the field, you can hide it on pagelayout.
To add these and other fields to your Tasks: Go to Setup. Go to Object Manager. Go to Task. Click on Page Layouts and then your Page Layout Name. Add the fields you would like visible in your Tasks, then save:
Go to Setup | Object and Fields | Object Manager | Lead.In Classic: Go to Setup | Customize | Leads | Page Layouts. Click Edit next to the Page Layout name. Click on the wrench icon for the Company field. Deselect the Required checkbox and click OK. Save the Layout.
Go to the Field Level Security section. Click on View for Lead. It will open the Lead Field-Level Security for that profile. Click on Edit; deselect the visible checkbox for the Email field and save.
In Classic, you can hide section on Page Layout by unchecking Edit Page on Section Porperties.Steps to Reproduce: Go to Object Page Layout. Click the wrench icon on the section. Uncheck Edit Page
Under the Field-Level Security section, click View next the object that contains the target field. Click Edit. Uncheck the Visible checkbox next the field youd like to hide. Click Save.
