hello sfdc folks hope everyone is doing good so today i am going to discuss about a very cool and interesting feature of salesforce that is dynamically controlling the visibility of certain fields based on certain conditions i mean if you can control the visibility of this field on the record detail page based on certain conditions if you want to hide it it will be hidden and if you want to show it it will be displayed and i am sure this is not possible via page layout directly so in our scenario what have i done is i have a property object which has this field called property type if it is for sale i will only display the selling price of the property and similarly if the property type is for rent then i will i will show the rent per month field so i hope this is clear to you the scenario i will only show the respective fields based on the property type so this can be done via lightning app builder so lets directly go to edit this page so this will navigate us to the lightning record

Click Object Settings and select the object for which you want to update the field settings. Click Edit. Under Field Permissions, for each field, specify the kind of access you want for users with this profile, and save your settings.
Go to the Field Level Security section. Click on View for Lead. It will open the Lead Field-Level Security for that profile. Click on Edit; deselect the visible checkbox for the Email field and save.
From the run reports page, click Hide Details to hide individual records. Click Show Details to show all records. From the report builder, click Show | Details. A check mark beside the Details menu item means that details are displayed. Click Details to toggle between showing or hiding records.
Go to the fields which you want to hide and select there link and select the Set Field-Level Security button and uncheck the Visible checkbox for the profiles you do not want to see those particular fields.
The field is hidden only for the Page Layout and not for Field Level Security. Please be aware that when the field is hidden because of page layout the users can still access the field via reports, search results, list views, and the API.
Right-click the column header, and then click Hide Fields on the shortcut menu.
Click Edit. Uncheck the Visible checkbox next the field youd like to hide. Click Save. If the field you hide in Salesforce has already been synced with Marketo, youll need to hide it in Marketo, too if you dont want to use it.
Use Lightning record page for this purpose. And click on the field that you want to hide in new/edit form. and add filter ISNEW equals false . So while creating new record it will not show that filed.
