all right so in this video of salesforce bytes well talk about how can you hide or show a field based on another field on a page layout right so very recently salesforce has come up with a concept thats called dynamic forms and until then until before which there was no way to you know show fields dynamically using a page load because page layout did not give you that capabilities right youd have to write a custom component for it but today well be looking at something thats called dynamic forms and that allows you to show or hide fields based on another field on your record page okay so lets go to an object that i have here thats called scenario tracker this is spelled a bit wrong but thats okay lets open any record that i have this is a custom object and theres one limitation with the dynamic forms they only work with custom objects as of now salesforce provides dynamic forms only for custom objects you cannot use them for standard objects okay so what i have here is i have

Go to the Field Level Security section. Click on View for Lead. It will open the Lead Field-Level Security for that profile. Click on Edit; deselect the visible checkbox for the Email field and save.

To change the labels for Standard Objects and Fields in Salesforce, simply go to Setup - Rename Tabs and Labels. Then choose the Object you want to rename and click Edit. Change the singular and plural labels if required or for your case you simply click Next button to change labels for the Standard Fields and save.
Go to the fields which you want to hide and select there link and select the Set Field-Level Security button and uncheck the Visible checkbox for the profiles you do not want to see those particular fields.
1 Answer uncheck the Required checkbox on the field on the object level and then open the page layout where you want to make it required and then double click on the field and check the Required checkbox. and where you dont need the field, you can hide it on pagelayout.
Under the Field-Level Security section, click View next the object that contains the target field. Click Edit. Uncheck the Visible checkbox next the field youd like to hide. Click Save.
