Go to Solution. As other suggested UI Policy is good option where you can select the particular catalog item and then based upon variable value changes you can to set the field behavior. You can build the condition.
Go to customization List, Records Fields Item fields . Edit that custom field and on the Validation Defaulting tab you can uncheck the mandatory field and then just save. :) Save this answer.
To hide fields onload, create UI policy with no conditions in it. Open a form and right click and configure and chose UI Policy. Now chose which field to hide in UI Policy action and set Visible to False. This will hide the field on form when load.
Create a UI action with the action name field set to sysverbcancel. It will then ignore the mandatory fields and do what you need.
Then edit the new workflow under the Inactive list of workflows - Jira settings Issues Workflows. You will want to click on the Create transition and select Validator link. Find the Validator that requires the field, open and ensure it is the Approver field then remove it.
To hide a field in ServiceNow, you can use the gform. setDisplay() method. This method allows you to hide a field on a form by setting its display property to false . In this client script example, the onLoad() function is called when the form loads, and uses the gform.
open the developer tools (press F12 in Chrome in Windows), open the Console table / panel, ensure that the consoles Javascript Contex is set to gsftmain (because the form loads in an IFrame in the platform UI), copy paste the script in, press ENTER.
Go to Customization Lists, Records, Fields Transaction Types, and click the name of the appropriate transaction type. Click the Statuses subtab. If you want the Status field to be displayed on the transaction, check the Show Status Field box. If you want to hide the Status field, clear the box.
