You can either navigate to Home and click on Number and Number Format, or right-click on the selected cells and click on Format Cells. You can also use the keyboard shortcut key Ctrl+1. In the Format Cells dialog box, under Protection, check the checkboxes for both Locked and Hidden. Click OK.
Below are the steps to do this: Select all the cells in the worksheet (you can do this by clicking on the gray triangle at the top left part of the sheet). Click the Home tab. In the Number group, click on the dialog box launcher. In the Format cells dialog box, click on the Protection tab. Uncheck the Locked option.
Select the range of cells whose formulas you want to hide. You can also select nonadjacent ranges or the entire sheet. Click Home Format Format Cells. On the Protection tab, select the Hidden check box.
Select a cell or a range of cells, and press Ctrl + 1 to open this menu and go to the Protection tab. Use the corresponding checkboxes to activate properties. The second method is doing this via VBA code. Every cell and range can be made Locked and FormulaHidden properties.
How to hide formulas in Excel Select a cell or range of cells containing the formulas you want to hide. Open the Format Cells dialog by doing any of the following: In the Format Cells dialog box, switch to the Protection tab, and select the Hidden checkbox. Click the OK button.
There are a few different ways to view formulas in Excel. The easiest way is to use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + `. This shortcut will toggle the formulas on and off. If you want to see all the formulas in a sheet at once, you can use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + `.
In your Excel worksheet, go to the Formulas tab Formula Auditing group and click the Show Formulas button. Microsoft Excel displays formulas in cells instead of their results right away. To get the calculated values back, click the Show Formulas button again to toggle it off.
Prevent a formula from displaying in the formula bar Select the range of cells whose formulas you want to hide. Click Home Format Format Cells. On the Protection tab, select the Hidden check box. Click OK. Click Review Protect Sheet.
