in this lesson i want to talk a little bit about hidden form fields hidden form fields are a way for developers to store variables without the user actually being able to get to them there are ways that we can actually get to these hidden form fields without needing the developer to actually expose them for us im going to submit this and were going to take a look at a particular request in tamper data and ill show you there is a hidden form field here it looks like theres only two form fields right theres this edit box here and then theres a submit button and now im going to tamper with it look at that theres another field here thats called field and i could actually put something into this one and this is actually a field that is hidden and it doesnt show up on the page it just shows up in the code itself i can make changes to that hidden form field using tamper data now i could find the hidden form field by going to page source and you could actually see the hidden variable
