[Music] hello this is Greg from SharePoint maven and in this video I would like to explain to you how you can easily hide or reorganize fields or columns from the entry form on a SharePoint list let me explain to you what Im talking about so here we go I have this SharePoint custom list it happens to be a risk register that I have on a project site and you kind of get to see the final product I already have created several columns completed some information but heres a scenario for you when my users click the new button they obviously fill out the information right I want to be able to hide certain fields from them all right I dont want them to fill out certain fields all right how do I do that I mean if you want to hide information hide the columns from the view thats not a problem you just literally click on the drop down column settings and say hi this column or you can also go here and add a column drop down show/hide columns and you can easily check or uncheck the columns here

Go to Report Settings - Column Properties option. Column Properties tab displays a list of columns in a report along with a list of columns that are kept hidden by default. To hide a column, mouseover the column name and click on the Delete Icon.
Go into edit your form. Open the Field Options for the field that you want to conditionally hide or show. Select Use Conditional Logic and add any criteria that you want.
If you want a field to be available for modeling but not shown to users, you can hide the field from the Explore field picker by adding the hidden: yes parameter to the field. If you want to hide most of the fields in a view, you can instead add the fieldshiddenbydefault: yes parameter to the view.
To hide the subject field from the request form Go to Admin Center Objects and rules Tickets Fields. Open the Subjectfield. Under Permissions, select Customers can view. Select Save.
If you want a field to be available for modeling, but not shown to users, you can hide it from the field picker by using the hidden parameter. Hidden fields can still be accessed in the UI if they are manually added to the URL. The hidden value is a way to keep the field picker clean; it is not a security feature.
No, you can use hidden only at the explore and field level (documentation). BUT, there are workarounds. Method 1: use fields: [] instead on the join (documentation). This will effectively do the same thing as hidden would because it tells Looker to not bring any fields into the explore.
