there may be fields in your system that you dont want everyone to see an example would be birthdate where its a little more sensitive and so Im looking at administrator profile here and youre seeing a birthdate in the left column and then Ive created a standard user profile layout where its showing up in the right side and so what we want to do is to see well how would how can we actually change that so I think looking at the users you can see one is a standard user and ones a Systems Administrator so were going to focus on this standard user profile but I think the best way to understand the options is to look at how you actually build a field in the first place so what Im going to do is to build out a new field were going to call it medications and its a text field and weve skipped through you know thats one and two and now three and four over three you know a lot of people just kind of ripped right through these as theyre building but if its something that we dont wa

What exactly are Salesforce Dynamic Forms? Dynamic forms have been introduced as a means of making object layout design more configurable. Users can add fields and sections on object page layouts as individual components within the Lightning App builder using the dynamic form.
The only way to do this is with VisualForce. You will have to have code in your controller that determines if the field is an outputfield (read only) or an inputfield (read / write). Then youll need to call a reRender on the fields on change the dropdown. This blog post may give you some help for this.
Click the Details tab, and then click in the record details. This selects the Record Detail component and shows its properties in the properties pane. In the properties pane, click Upgrade Now to start the Dynamic Forms migration wizard. Step through the wizard, select Opportunity Layout, then click Finish.

Delete a Dynamic Form Click Dynamic Forms tab in primary navigation bar. Click Actions and select Delete for desired Dynamic Form. Click Yes, Delete it button to confirm.
All you have to do now is find the field youd like to hide and click, hold, and drag it up to the box of fields at the top of the page (so that you see the green ✅ appear), then release. And youre all set, the field is now hidden from the page layout!
