Apply a predefined format Open the table in Design View. In the upper section of the design grid, select the Date/Time field that you want to format. In the Field Properties section, click the arrow in the Format property box, and select a format from the drop-down list.
When you apply the Currency format to a number, the currency symbol appears right next to the first digit in the cell. You can specify the number of decimal places that you want to use, whether you want to use a thousands separator, and how you want to display negative numbers.
The C (or currency) format specifier is used to convert a number to a string representing a currency amount. Let us see an example. double value = 139.87; Now to display the above number until three decimal places, use (C3) currency format specifier.
To disable advanced currency management: From Setup, enter Manage Currencies in the Quick Find box, then select Manage Currencies. Click Disable. When prompted, select Yes, I want to disable Advanced Currency Management and click Disable.
Tip: To quickly apply the Currency format, select the cell or range of cells that you want to format, and then press Ctrl+Shift+$. Like the Currency format, the Accounting format is used for monetary values. But, this format aligns the currency symbols and decimal points of numbers in a column.
A Currency data type has no field size option and is fixed to a Double size up to 4 decimal places. A Number with a field size set to Integer has a different range with no decimal places. A Number with a field size set to Single has a different range up to 6 decimal places.
If you have only one currency in your multi-currency organization, you can set a preference to display currency symbols instead of ISO codes: Go to User Interface, and then select Show currency symbols instead of ISO codes
Format Fields within Queries In Design View, select the field that you want to format. Click the Property Sheet button on the Design tab. The Property Sheet appears. Click the Format box in the Property Sheet. Type how you want the field to be formatted.
