Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can create your very own electronic signature that you could use to insert into documents. Lets say for instance, you have to sign a document. Well, today you could print out that document, then you could sign it, then you could scan it in again, and then you could send it off. But thats a lot of work. It wastes paper and you need to have a printer. I dont even have a printer. Today Im going to show you how you could create an electronic signature, two different ways. One of them is using your phone where you sign your signature on the phone, and then well bring that onto our PC, so itll be digital all the way. The second technique, were going to sign our name, take a high quality photo of it, and then well bring that into the PC. So, Ill show you those two different ways. 1 Correct answer Go to Edit - Preferences - Signatures and click on More next to Verification. Then un-tick the box that says Verify signatures when the document is opened.
If you received a PDF digitally signed by others, you can sign it, but cant edit it. While signing a PDF, if the signer chooses to lock the document after signing, the document becomes read-only for everyone, including the signer.
Solution: To turn on/off digital signature validation: On the keyboard, hold down the WINDOWS key and press R. In the Run window, type ACSIGNOPT and then click OK.
Go to Edit - Preferences - Signatures and click on More next to Verification, and then tick off the Verify signatures when the document is opened box.
The only way to stop your signature from potentially being misused is to not include your signature in the document. This isnt as flippant a suggestion as it sounds. For instance, you might use a modified signature in the document, such as only your first name instead of your full signature.
Remove digital signatures from Word or Excel Open the document or worksheet that contains the visible signature you want to remove. Right-click the signature line. Click Remove Signature. Click Yes.
Click Signature on the left side of the page, click the spot where you want to insert your signature, and click the yellow Adopt and Sign button at the bottom of the window. Your signature will appear in the desired place on the document. Click Finish at the top of the page.
To remove your signature, right-click the signature and then choose Clear Signature.
