Go to Edit - Preferences - Signatures and click on More next to Verification. Then un-tick the box that says Verify signatures when the document is opened.
If a PDF is signed using a digital ID or certificate, its locked to prevent changes to the document. Digital IDs or certificates used to sign PDFs are used for the commercial and legal purpose and are governed by laws in many countries.
Open the PDF in Acrobat, and then do one of the following: Choose Tools Redact. On the Edit menu, choose Redact Text Images. Select the text or image in a PDF, right-click, and select Redact.
Click the File tab and select Info. A dialog box will appear; select Permissions and click Protect Document. You will have the option to mark the document as final, add a digital signature (if you havent already done so), restrict editing, encrypt with a password and restrict permission to certain people.
To keep your electronic signature safe, you should always protect the document from editing. Open the PDF document with docHub Pro/Reader DC or XI application. On the right side, click Protect to open the Protect options. Click on Protect Using Password option.
Add Digital Signature To protect your document with a digital signature, open File Info Protect Document and select Add a Digital Signature. This tells people who read your document that you and no one else signed it, indicating that you were the last person to revise and save it.
Add a Watermark over the signature which makes it harder to copy.
Provided the document isnt locked, you can then remove your own signature from the PDF by simply right-clicking the signature and choosing the Clear Signature option. This should remove the signature, allowing you to edit or re-sign the PDF.
