Open job requisitions are active and can be either Posted or Unposted to the job posting websites. Filled job requisitions are completed recruiting efforts, i.e., a candidate has been hired to fill the job. Closed job requisitions are recruiting efforts that will not be completed.
Typically, the word requisition means a written demand or request. Therefore, a job requisition is the formal documentation used to request a new hire, and typically involves a form that the hiring manager fills out to gain permission to start the hiring process.
The Workday job requisition is used to communicate positions that are available to fill in Workday. To create a Workday job requisition, the HR Coordinator can locate available positions without an open job.
The definition for each status is below: Open Requisition has been entered and saved, but it has not yet been submitted for approval. Pending Requisition has been submitted and is awaiting approval. Approved Requisition is approved and can become a PO. Denied Requisition was denied in the approval process.
Requisition Owners and Super Admins can perform this action. Navigate to the Hiring Plan dashboard: Click the 3 dots to the right of an open requisition. Select Put requisition on hold from the list of options.
