Expand the Entity you want to customize, such as Leads, and choose Fields. Click the name of the field you want to expose. Click Set Field-Level Security. A list of users with access to that field displays.
All you have to do now is find the field youd like to hide and click, hold, and drag it up to the box of fields at the top of the page (so that you see the green ✅ appear), then release. And youre all set, the field is now hidden from the page layout!
Lets say you want to add a new field to your List View. To do so, click on the gear icon and select Fields to Display. A pop-up will appear in the middle of your screen. From here, you can select which fields youd like to display.
Inorder to remove the standard field from view, Go to the fields which you want to hide and select there link and select the Set Field-Level Security button and uncheck the Visible checkbox for the profiles you do not want to see those particular fields.
Add fields. In Salesforce Classic, click Setup. Search for and click Task Page Layouts under Build Customize Activities. Add a page layout or edit an existing one. Drag a field, such as Call Duration, from the Task Layout list to the Task Detail section. Above the Task Layout list, click Save.
To add these and other fields to your Tasks: Go to Setup. Go to Object Manager. Go to Task. Click on Page Layouts and then your Page Layout Name. Add the fields you would like visible in your Tasks, then save:
