The standard Close Date field cannot be removed from any page layout for the Opportunity object, nor can the Required property be removed.
In Classic: Go to Setup | Customize | Leads | Page Layouts. Click Edit next to the Page Layout name. Click on the wrench icon for the Company field. Deselect the Required checkbox and click OK. Save the Layout.
Remove the required Close Date field on an Opportunity page To check the Opportunity page layout, follow the click path below: In Salesforce Classic. In Lightning Experience. Gear icon | Setup | Object Manager | Opportunity | Page Layouts | Select the specific page layout. Fields that cannot be removed. Close Date.
Steps - Go to setup - click object manager - find and choose contact - click fields and relationships - click the drop-down (extreme left side of the row) - click edit - Scroll down the page - In general options, uncheck Always require a value in this field in order to save a record - click save.

You can disable the date and name by going to Account tab-Account settings-Signature Preferences and uncheck Well formatted Signature.
The Close Date field on an Opportunity is when you expect the Opportunity to be closed, either Closed Won/Closed Lost. This is a required field and you cannot remove the requirement.
The Salesforce Opportunity Close Date is your best estimate of when you expect to close the sale. The Close Date will change as you work the sale. It should never be set in stone as it affects your sales pipeline, and it should never be in the past.
