Hiding Numbers To do this, select the cells containing the numbers you want to hide. Then, go to the Format menu and select Cells. In the Number tab, select Custom from the list of options. In the box next to Type, enter ;;; (three semicolons). This will cause all numbers in the selected cells to be hidden.
Use Excels Filter Feature to Hide Rows Based on Cell Value With Excels filter feature, users can hide rows, columns, or cells that dont meet specific criteria.
To hide the selected cells, press Ctrl + Shift + 8. To unhide the cells, press Ctrl + Shift + 8 again. If you want to quickly hide all cells that are selected, you can use the Hide command. To do this, select the cells you want to hide, then click the Home tab and click the Hide button.
On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format. Do one of the following: Under Visibility, click Hide Unhide, and then click Unhide Rows or Unhide Columns.
Hide or show rows or columns Select one or more columns, and then press Ctrl to select additional columns that arent adjacent. Right-click the selected columns, and then select Hide.
In the Options dialog box, click the Fields tab. Under Block 1, do the following: Select the check boxes for the fields that you want to show. Clear the check boxes for the fields that you want to hide.
To hide formulas: Select the cells for which you to want to hide the formulas. Right-click the cell (or cells) and choose Format Cells. In the Format Cells dialog box, click the Protection tab. Check the Hidden box. Note: Hidden is what prevents the user from seeing the formula. Click OK.
